I was born near the sea and I have always loved it...
My family was numerous and, as a child, I lived in serious economic troubles. I have inherited my love for food from my father, who loved to eat and cook.
So I decided to learn more about fish; I’ve globe-trotted, travelling in Japan, Argentina, Chile, Thailand and India in order to have knowledge about the fish varieties to be imported in Italy. I’ve been seen as a mad! I’ve started from scratch, slowly I’ve created many products.
I’ve started with retail goods, later I’ve created long life products, and then ready-to-eat dishes , that is “open-and-eat” food.
I’ve been spreading my name through the trade fairs for about twenty years and from “Savelletri” (a beach location in the municipality of Fasano) I’ve moved to Fasano, even if I can’t stay far from the sea; in fact, every evening, I feel the need to meet fishermen and discuss with them about the catch of the day.
I had success on the market because I was one of the few dealing with this domain in the South of Italy and because the product was good. At the present time, my name has reached many countries all over the world, with 360 references among vegetables and fishes. I started from a little family-run fish shop and even if I didn’t attend schools, I founded this company. A food factory can be realized only by gaining a lot of experience, not by studying.
Thanks to my experience, I have knowledge about the origins of the fish species and I give my consulting. I’ve been an hard-working man, as well as a factory worker even if I’m a businessman now; I work with my employees and, as a friend, I wish they can live gratified and untroubled. The Renna S.r.l. company is known as one of the main food-processing factories and I’m proud of that, as I’ve given my whole life for this reality. |
